An Appointment of Enduring Guardian is an important legal document and part of the “life planning trifecta”: a Will, a Power of Attorney and an Appointment of an Enduring Guardian.
Appointing someone as your Enduring Guardian allows that person to manage your personal, health and lifestyle decisions on your behalf should something happen to make you incapable of making your own decisions. This includes decisions about where the person lives and the health and medical care and treatment they receive. It is a vital part of forward planning and we strongly recommend that clients give instructions for the completion of this document.
